Hey guys,

Bought some "Bamboo Screening" to try and minimise the lack of privacy between some slotted fencing but it doesn't quite cut it.

Here is the fencing..

I was thinking of something like a waterproof sheeting of some description that I could staple to the slots then put the screening over them but I've no idea what I could use.

Ideally the material would need to be waterproof, porous (to prevent noise with wind) and flexible. I'm probably clutching at straws but does there exist such a thing? It's basically to cover a small piece of fencing for privacy reasons.

Thanks

What is it that you don't like about the bamboo?

Assuming it's either your fence, or you have permission to attach to it? You could add timber slats every 4" or whatever the gap in the current fence is, to make a hit and miss fence?

Or if you want a material, have a look at windbreak netting, or debris (scaffold) netting, available in various colours, and hole size.

Bare in mind it will all add to the wind load of the fence, which it may or may not be strong enough for.

Thanks.

The bamboo is fine it just doesn't add that much pirvacy. So I was thinking about some form of sheeting or opaque netting that I could staple to the slotted fence to make it private then I would put the bamboo over it. If that makes sense?

You may be on to something with that windbreak netting. Thanks for the tip.

Job almost done. I decided to use weed check material and just double it up and staple it to existing fencing. Then nail bamboo over it for total privacy fencing.
