looking to repoint around window - what would be best mix.

Hello all.

I am looking to replace the pointing around one of my windows as I dont wish to pay someone £250 for the honour - but I would like to know what would be the best mix of cement/mortar to get the job done properly.

I thought that also..the house was built about 1906 or so..

It will be lime mortar. Go to a big builders merchant and tell them you want a bag of lime mortar for pointing.
