Lot of water spilt on real solid oak floor.

Hi, my first time here.
6 months ago we had a good kitchen & floor done. last weekend the dishwasher leaked all over the new solid oak floor. in a few places it has really lifted. it is quite a big room. will it be ruined or do you think it will go down. we have a floor/carpet person coming tomorrow to give us a quote. hope he asseses the damage.
does anyone know if it will go back to normal??
