I am hoping somebody can advise what this might be and if it could even be dangerous.
I still have the open vent Baxi FS which is now 32 years old. For as long as I can remember, it has always screeched a bit when heating up. But this afternoon it has got a whole lot worse.
I've only ever heard a sound like this before on a combi. Is it possible that this might be a sign of something dangerous, like a blocked vent pipe?
If anyone could advise how to upload a recording that would be a great help.

EDIT: We had a new heat exchanger in 2011. The boiler has has made a more familiar banging kettling noise for a few years now when heating up. Could this just be another type of kettling noise?
