low mileage car is it too good to be true

Renault do tend to get a bad press due mostly it seems to a few rogue "Friday afternoon specials" that are plagued with problems.

My wife has had several though, 2 Clio, 2 Megane, 1 Laguna, and all have been faultless.

I had a clio.. it was rubbish and died at the age of 7 owned from new. never passed an MOT first time ever.

There used to be a Renault Specialist next door to my work, from what I've seen I wouldn't own one as long as theres a hole in my ass..

That doesn't make any sense, you could apply the same logic to any car manufacturer specialists.

Interesting article in the new Car Mechanics magazine on used Polos. The " German reliability" is not all it's cracked up to be. I never had any real problems with company Peugeot 406s and Citroen C5 except the fleet manager and leasing company seemed to have a cosy agreement which worked against getting any repairs done. French cars were cheap and well spec'd. You have to make allowances!

Such as LandRover, proof that price doesn't equate to quality :(
nb: I have an old one & wouldn't change it but I'd never buy a new one in a million years.
