Hi
The water pressure in our outside tap seems to have dropped considerably. Does anyone know what causes this? The kitchen cold water pressure is fine so I'm assuming it's a problem with this tap. I know nothing about plumbing so is it safe to investigate this myself and how do I do it. If it's any help I can turn the water off with one of those 1/4 turn doodas under the sink. Thanks

Turn the 1/4 turn dooda off then take the tap apart, it sounds like the washer is sticking. If it is fit a new washer and re-assemble.

I suspect it is one of those witha plastic check valve inside.

Take it off the wall and lever the NRV out. Put the tap back and bob is your uncle.

That'll be your problem, mines been like that for a couple of years now, one day I'll get round to doing it, or maybe the wife will carry out her threat & call a plumber in.

Thanx guys. I was worried it might be a blockage so your replies are good news. I'll give it a go when I'm feeling brave!
