I have always had trouble re-filling the system when the pressure has dropped. The system has been off for about a week now, but I have just managed to get it topped up. I increased the pressure to 1.5 bar although the white key did not seem to do anything (?) as I can twist the small white knob with my fingers anyway. Is that normal?

Anyway, the real problem now is that I am not getting any hot water. I have pressed all the buttons on the boiler at random but it didn't help (no surprise there).

Can anyone help please?

THANKS

What wb boiler do you have ? a bit more information would help

so whats the boiler doing ? got any lights on or flashing , are they flashing fast or slow? does the central heating work ? ect

The central heating works ok. No lights come on other than the green burner on indicator light and the mains on indicator (blue).

you have the blue light and green light when you turn on the tap and water is flowing?

Hi there. Thanks for your reply.

When I put the boiler on the central heating starts up, but when I run a tap the water stays cold.

?

turn off the central heating, dont run any taps, let the boiler and rads cool down, when every is cool, run the hot tap and feel the radiators to see is they start to get warm, let us know what happens.

I did what you said.

The radiator started getting warm. I ran the tap for 5 minutes and it is still running cold. I never had problems getting hot water before the pressure dropped. I thought it just needed re-filling.

I would be interested to know what you think now.

Thanks for your help.

the divertor valve is stuck in the central heating position, I think you need to get someone in to have a look at it.
