LPG hob - supply from separate cylinders or main tank?

Hi. I'm looking at buying a house that has LPG central heating, but an electric hob in the kitchen. If I want to change to a LPG hob then the obvious thing would be to feed it from the LPG supply that goes to the boiler. Is that usually the best solution? Or is it better to have separate LPG tanks just for the hob? The only limitation I can think of is that the pipe from the LPG tank may be specced only for the central heating and may not have the capacity to feed the hob and boiler at the same time.

The boiler is located in the kitchen and the house has a suspended floor so pipework should be relatively simple. I'm not planning on doing this myself, I just want to be clear in my mind what the best way forward would be.

Get an LPG qualified Gas Safe Registered Engineer in to assess your pipe size and make a decision from there. Must admit I'd have to check my books to see whether new LPG pipework can be installed in a suspended floor void or not. It's heavier than air so could potentially fill the entire floor void with LPG in the event of a leak, without you noticing until it's become a very dangerous situation, so it might not be permissible
