Hi,

We have built an extension with the lounge upstairs (no chimney) we had hoped to move our existing woodburner to the upstairs but due to the BC regs 'combustible flooring' and having to have a stove pipe stuck up above the roof line etc we have abandoned this idea.

Instead we thought of installing an LPG look alike woodburner my query is - the LPG bottle will be on the ground (outside) wereas the fire is on the 1st floor will the gas travel this distance.

Any help appriciated

So what makes you think you can install an LPG one without having a flue connected to it? And also work on LPG should be done by someone who is qualified

Some fires are balanced flues and some are flueless depending on model/type of fire, so a conventional flue is not always required.

As for installing the fire we shall use our local plumber who is 'corgi' (not that name now) registered. In fact OH is ex-builder - so while he knows how to do the job he will always use the right man/firm for the job.

hope this answers your comment...
