What are the benefits of using LSF cable as oppose to pvc? In a normal domestic installation is there any real benefit?

LSF cable is designed that in the event of a fire, the insulation does not break down and release toxic fumes, such as Hydrogen cyanide.

most houses are full of all sorts of plastic stuff that will give off nasty fumes when it burns. changing the wiring to LSF isn't really going to make much difference.
afaict LSF stuff is usually used when running wiring in areas that carry moving air (for example as part of airconditioning) because such moving air can carry the nasty fumes from pvc cable into parts of the building that would otherwise not be affected by the fire. Also i belive in many commercial buildings it is used throughout because its simpler/safer to do that than to worry about where it is required and where it isn't.
