Of course, being banned is better than being killed.

"Palestine Olympic Football Team Coach Killed by Israel in Gaza –
Over 1,000 Athletes Killed so far
January 7, 2024 Blog, News

85 Palestinian athletes have been killed so far in the Israeli war on the Palestinians since October 7, a new report said.
The majority of those killed are in the besieged Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Football Association said that in the period between October 7 and December 6, it documented the killing of 85 Palestinian athletes.

55 of those killed are football players and 30 others were athletes in other sports.

The official Palestinian news agency, WAFA said that the Association’s comprehensive report on Thursday,

“Indicated that the Israeli occupation forces, in their continued aggression against the northern and southern governorates of the country, targeted Palestinian athletes and sports facilities, especially football players, and club presidents, administrators, referees, and others.”

The killed football players included 18 children and 37 youths. Two of them were killed in the West Bank.

Palestinians do have a history of killing Israeli atheletes.

We really should ask Mr Netanyahu to send a small garrison of the IDF over with these supporters and give us a lesson in how to deal with these extremist radicalised communities

If the Ukrainians had attacked Russia killing many hundreds of civilians, and took hostages back to Ukraine, and Russia then started the war, the Russian teams woudn't be sanctioned, also do we not have a ceasefire at the moment? be a bit ironic if the Villa players took the knee in this game.
It depends whether or not they bombed hospitals and shot hungry children to get their hostages back.

That's it, foreign troops on British soil. We'll just let them do as they please shall we?

no, but we certainty need advice and guidance in dealing with this matter - what we must never allow is for extremist groups to take over, what a terrible state of affairs needing to say to other people wishing to visit our country - we can't allow you to come as extremists may attack you and we are unable to stop them

Ukrainians are proper men, they go and fight on the battlefield - where as the Palestinians / Hamas operatives kidnap young people from a music festival, launch rockets from hospitals and hide behind their own women and children

The conflict has been going on since 1947. It didn't start in 2023
The Israelis currently hold nearly 10,000 Palestinians hostages, including women and children.
Many of them die from the torture inflicted on them while in Israeli captivity.

Israel has a habit of killing Palestinians, including women and children.
The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics released a report Sunday marking the 76th anniversary of the Nakba (Great Catastrophe) indicating that since 1948, approximately 134,000 Palestinians and Arabs have been killed both inside and outside Palestine.

Normally Israel doesn't need an invitation to commit extrajudicial killings on foreign soil.

7 years after Israeli commandos killed an American human rights defender, still seeking accountability

Furkan Dogan was the youngest victim of Israel’s deadly May 31st raid on the Mavi Marmara, the lead ship in the six-boat flotilla. Turkish autopsy reports revealed he was shot five times at close range by Israeli commandos. Eight other Turkish nationals were also killed in the attack. Last month, an Israeli inquiry absolved the government and military of any wrongdoing in the raid.

If you can’t guarantee safety the match should be moved or postponed until you can. You should not fuel obvious antisemitism by banning the potential victims.
Starmer has actually got it right for once.
That is the practical truth, but it is completely morally wrong. So now we have parts of the country where, by law, Jews are not allowed to go. How long will it be before there are parts of England where, by law, English people cannot go?

"Advice and guidance on dealing with this matter"? Us far-right racist adjacent extremists have been giving this advice for decades - keep muslims out of the country.

" We can't allow extremist groups to take over"? We already have. Aston, like many parts of modern Britain, is an enclave of Pakistan.

It's not anti Semitic to ban potential troublemaking fans from a football match.
The Maccabi Tel Aviv football supporters are typical football supporters like any other:
Footage emerged online which showed fans pulling down a Palestinian flag in central Amsterdam and anti-Arab chants could be heard.

The SAG do not have the authority to cancel or postpone the game. They can only advise the relevant Football Assoc.

If it were Liverpool, or Manchester, or Chelsea, etc, fans being banned, no-one would bat an eyelid for their sentiment.
Why do Israeli football hooligans deserve any special treatment?

How many of the Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters are Jews, and how many are not.
To claim it's anti Semitic to ban potential troublesome football supporters is typical of fillystine, motorbiking, et al, rush to claim anti Semitism because Israelis are affected.

Rangers played in a game at Old Trafford 2 years after 39 police officers were injured in the riots in Manchester during the UEFA cup final, no ban on Rangers fans then, or is the real problem the local population and not the away fans?

no, but we certainty need advice and guidance in dealing with this matter - ...
We don't need advice on using live fire to control crowds. UK military are adept at that throughout history.
