I'm fitting a MagnaClean Pro2 under my boiler but I think the run of pipe on the return is slightly too short at 18cm. I figure I'll move the filling loop (either just the right hand fitting or perhaps both) higher up. Does that sound right?

I haven't soldered pipes before so I would use 15 and 22mm compression fittings to achieve this.

Thanks

1. What you suggest is OK.
2. I'd leave it at moving the right hand connection up.
3. I would (if using compression fittings):
3.1 Cut the the boiler return pipe about 50 mm above the lower elbow.
3.2 Cut the same pipe about 50 mm below the boiler elbow.
3.3 Fit the magnaclean.
3.4 Cut sufficient from the cut out piece of pipe to fit a 22:15:22 compression Tee. E.g. Screwfix 25631.
3.5 You will need a short length of 15 mm copper pipe and a 15 mm elbow to sort out the Return pipe end of the flexible hose.
