Hi all

Have just fitted a gloss cream kitchen and has cream metro tiles to fit. To break up the creamness, thought I would try different colour grout, maybe to match the worktop (blocked walnut).

Anyone done this or got any pictures, it's a one time job, so want to make sure I'm doing the right thing.

Thanks

I've used coloured grout on a lot of different jobs and kitchens and really prefer it to big standard white, I feel it looks better and gives the room much more of an individual touch. As long as you suit it to the tile/worktop then go for it! Worst comes to worst and you don't like it, then it's not a big job to scrape it out and start again with a different colour.

Attached an image of a recent kitchen I did and used charcoal grout on cream subway tiles to work with the black granite worktop, turned out really nicely in the end.

Most folk want white grout and it looks great for ten minutes - but then it begins to loose its sharpness and shows dirt so easily. Then comes the endless, & never satisfactory, cleaning cycles.

Given the amount of colored grouts available its a shame that more installations dont use them.
