Hi folks,
Just something I've been noticing for a few days now. Boiler will appear to be running continuously 5 to 10 minutes after DHW demand. No such problems with CH, it just seems to get "stuck" in a sort of 'semi-operation' mode.
A bit more explanation: I can hear what sounds like the pump running. No error indicators; it's not firing when it does this, although when I run the hot water a second time it comes out warm straight away, and the boiler will fire up briefly (approx. 10 seconds) even when the tap has been closed! Also noticed the pressure gage is slightly increased (just under the '2' mark) when it does this.
After several minutes, you'll hear a "clunk" (which doesn't sound too healthy!) and all will be normal for the rest of the day. It seems to only do this once in the morning, and then it's OK after that. I think it's getting progressively worse, though.
I'll probably get it looked at anyway, but has anyone encountered this problem before?
