Main burner intermittent

The main burner does not always ignite when the tap is turned for hot water.

How is it possible that igniting the main burner IS possible by just tapping the combustion chamber when the water is flowing???

Could be loads of things marginal or intermittent. You need to get a little man in.

What make burner is it

is it wall mounted

or does it just sit on a table or something
