Does the charger have a USB-C port or USB-A port?
If it's USB-C then is the kit you are charging have USB-C input.
USB-C chargers 'should' negotiate with the device to be charged regarding charging voltage which could be much higher than the 5v that USB-A always operates on.
Or your charger is USB-C then the circuitry could have failed.
