Mainsboost install location

Can a Mainsboost be installed anywhere on the cold water supply or does it have to be the first item?

Ideally placed just after the mains stop tap but certainly before the first branch or outlet to maximise overall coverage.

Apparently it is ok, as long as the flow rate doesn't exceed 12l/minute
For greater flow rates, a pumped accumulator tank could be used.

Homeboost pumps are limited to 12L/Min and around 1.5 bar, which is the max allowed by the water transporters in the UK.
