I am not suggesting benefits being stopped - just paid in a different way, vouchers for healthy food, vouchers for heat and light, free access to swimming and gyms

the country has a major benefit and health problem, how would you sort it out ?

I wouldn't, couldn't do anything like that, would even campaign against it. - but there are many who would, and do you know what, it would save lives in the long run, the crossing would stop and the accidental drownings would too - within a year less people would have lost their lives

Wages that are good enough to live on should be the aim. That alone would reduce the need for benefits. But it's not an overnight cure, it's a direction. That needs to be started

Paying pensioners in vouchers. I couldn't think of a worse insult to their years of work and sacrifice

what makes you think the UK has a major benefits problem?


If I was sorting it out, I would start by finding out the actual data: ie how many are not genuine and how many are genuine


Around the corner from me there are some flats which have people in them that are in no way capable of work........I see them walking up to the corner shop buying their groceries (at a high price).

The media, including the BBC & Guardian - We need to get people back to work, too easy to do nothing now and live well on benefits

our country is on the edge of bankruptcy, we need to be gearing up to a war footing to halt Putin, we're all going to have to be a lot poorer and work harder or we will all end up going down the pan

due to the 'you're welcome' message sent out by the do-gooder' an estimated 9000 migrants lost their lives during illegal crossing to europe in 2024 - that is a lot of souls.

You do go on about immigrants taking homes from the homeless then demonise the homeless as benefits scroungers. The lot of you twist your tiny minds into knots trying to justify the implicit racism in your pov.

don't think I have ever said the homeless are the benefit scroungers, but you are correct in identifying that mass inward immigration is denying our vulnerable a decent roof over their heads

And i'm not trying to deny anyone benefits, just suggesting it shouldn't be paid in cash, which is often wasted on smking, booze and drugs, which often compounds their situation.
