Makita Battery question...

I have a Makita drill that came with a 12.v 1.3Ah battery.
My question is... can i change the battery for a 2.6ah or higher even?
Would this make a difference anyway or could it even damage my drill?
Sorry for my ignorance and thanks in advance for your help.

As long as the voltage is the same and it physically fits then you have no problem. It seems quite common for manufactures to sell "bargin price" drills with a 1.3 amph battery rather than something higher in the first place.

no difference in performance it the fuel tank so will just run for longer
