I had a Manrose CQF100HT installed about 9months ago which the humidistat setting was impossible to set correctly. Manrose sent a new replacement out last month. After a few tweaks of getting the settings correct all was well. But lately the fan has not been coming on even when the bathroom is full of steam!
So my questions are
1. Is there something I’m not setting correctly
2. Is it just a poor quality fan and humidistat
3. If so, can anyone recommend a decent alternative without a timer

Any advice appreciated

Thanks Andy.
I had set it up and was all going well but now it will probably need readjusting again even though the bathroom was full of steam.
This is similar to the experience with the first fan.

Normal operation for such things.

After a few tweaks of getting the settings correct all was well.
But then the humidity levels outside changed due to rain / cold weather / other.

Choices -
either spend the rest of your life constantly adjusting the device so it may work correctly for a short time
or forget about humidity sensors and get a fan controlled in some other way.

To be fair, once I had done some fine adjustment over 3 seasons, mine has been fine for years.

Nightmare for an electrican to install though, as they can’t be around during/after showers to adjust ;)

I used to have a Manrose XF100H. I was happy with it. On particularly humid days it would run but I would just isolate it.

My downstairs fan was significantly more expensive. It was an Icon AirFlow 30. I could never work out if the PIR or the humidistat was the issue. One day, I twisted the nylon screw for the humidistat a tad too far. It cost £75 for a new module.

I initially wanted a humidity sensor because I new that my family members would not turn on the light if showering in the day time.
