manual CH flushing

I want to flush my CH system out and was going to use a hose from the mains connected to one of the pipes on a downstairs radiator and another hose to drain away from the other pipe connected to the same radiator. Would this work or would it just flush the pipes to that one radiator?Should the system be swithed off , emptied first or what.

Ive ran it for a few days with Fernox restore fluid first as it has been kettling every few minutes.

if i understand ur idea ...it seems u'd fill the system to overflow...its would over flow in the loft and if its not all in working order in the loft u'd have a load of water everywhere . (and it would not work anyway)

either let the de-sludger do its job or isolate the rad....drain it down and take it outside and get a hose in it and clean it out that way
