Hi. Is it OK to use the manual overide of a Myson heating valve continuously when the CH is on, whilst I am waiting for a 2 port valve/actuator to be delivered?

Thanks.

It doesn't seem possible to leave the lever in the MAN position. The lever keeps springing back.

Normally move across and move into a groove or push in to lock it, this only opens the water port on some and may not fire the boiler unless it’s also calling for hot water

If it is also calling for HW, will the CH switch off anyway when the water temperature is reached?

Also some valves will not close the microswitch in the manual setting, I know mine does not as it does not go far enough with the manual lever.

Thanks. I will put the lever back to AUTO and wait for the new part to arrive.
