I bought some white/pale grey polished marble tiles for the floor of my new(ish) small cloakroom, the floor of which had been left as level concrete. I treated the tiles with HG Marble Impregnator before starting, and used Unibond waterproof adhesive (which says it's ok for marble and that it dries white, but it was a beige colour when mixed - I was recommended to use BAL Rapidset White, but TT only sell this in 20kg sacks, and I've only got 13 tiles to lay !)
When I started laying the tiles I soon noticed that they had darkened significantly, so I stopped after the first few. 3 days on, they are showing no signs of returning to their original colour. Should I have impregnated the under side of the tiles as well, or is there something else wrong ? I'd be grateful for any advice, thanks. Now, where's my sledgehammer ?
