I ordered 4 sheets of 8'x4' Marine Ply and have received WISA-SPRUCE STRUCTURAL. Is this the same? If not would it still be OK to use as a base for a bathroom floor and would it need any special treatment?
Any help appreciated.

it is not the same, and it is much cheaper.

What did you pay for?

Thanks for your quick response. I paid £25 per sheet for it. Can it still be used for a bathroom floor? Regards.

I believe Structural Spruce ply is WBP (waterproof) but have a look at the makes marks stamped on it, these should indicate the grade. Strucrural means it is strong enough to use for flooring. I presume it is 18mm thick.

the price you paid sounds about right fror Spruce and too low for Marine.

Marine ply has a smoother hardwood surface as well.

Some Spruce ply has a very poor, rough surface.

Thanks for all your help. It is 18mm and I have decided to use it as I have now discovered that genuine marine ply is so expensive
