Marker pen

get mine in office world

I find the sole of my shoes marks my customers' tiles easily. Difficult to cut to as they're 1/4 inch wide, and sometimes awkward to remove (the marks not the shoes) :D

Mine tend to fall in me pocket at work
If you want a precision mark the best is the pointy end of a diamond escapement file, puts a very nice line in the glaze (want one ? I've got a shed load of 'em).

thanks all I think I'll try the diamond escapement file first.
