Each time I paint my window frames, I do the sandstone sills & lintels in quality masonry paint (with loads of preparation etc.).
Yet my neighbours who all get 'professional' decorators in, all seem to have their sandstone done in undercoat & gloss.
Although I would say I'm using the correct product for the job, the neighbour's sills & lintels all look cleaner and more impressive.
What is the point of the 'masonry' paint? I'm thinking of going 'gloss' next time.
