Hi
I have a soap dish type old master phone point with two wires going into it from outside, If I install a new one (nte5)with the phone socket built in do I just connect the wires to the two screw terminals? also does it matter which way around the wires go and would it cause problems if connected wrongly?

Many Thanks for any reply's

Most NTE5s come with IDC connectors for the line, they won't work with figure-8 drop wire, I don't know about other exterior cable types, butyou can get NTE5s with screw terms for the line.

NTE5's have big screw terminals for the network side and are designed to take virtually any BT dropwire.
