On the Rinse cycle sometimes, my washer makes a buzzing noise and stops. It smells like band aids or rubber really bad... If you let it cool down, you can finish the load. What could this be? Approx price on repair? The washer is maybe 7 years old. Thanks.

i would guess its your cold water inlet valve, needs replacing, as for price, bit hard to say because it depends on the valve and the fact that we are in the UK not USA, over here a valve is about £10, but as you have a top loader (probably) it may cost more
