Hi , has anybody come across issues with the spigot from a bath trap being too big so that it won't go into the bore of the bath waste ?
Basically the spigot on my mcalpine trap measures 41 and the waste bore is 40 .
I tried another anti vac mcalpine waste and that's the same .
I know they seal on the rubber but they don't fit .
Any ideas ?
Thanks

I used to have issues with it years ago, but that could have been me as an apprentice. Any photos?

Yes, but it's not the spigot that's at issue, it's ID of the waste, some manufacturers don't follow standard sizing and some are narrower. Use a file to narrow the flange a little, should eventually fit.

Yeah , it's definitely the waste bore .
I'll file the trap down a bit .
The waste was a decent branded one as well

I've seen me cut that internal centre section out of the compression end of a McAlpine with a stanley before now too when an existing thicker push fit waste wouldn't fit. Especially when the only alternative was getting a Floplast from the local shed.
