I'm about to fit this McAlpine combined bath waste/trap, I'm currently waiting for the extension kit to arrive as I need this to fit my bath: https://mcalpineplumbing.com/traps/...p-with-removable-chrome-plated-clicker-waste/

But I wanted to make sure that I'm fitting this correctly, I'm assuming the extension piece (2) will fit on top of rubber seal (9), then rubber seal (1) sits between the bath and the extension piece (2) - This is the only way I can to seal the extension piece.

That's looks like one of those, it'll all make sense when it's in your hands methinks. McAlpine are usually very good and well constructed but the MI isn't the clearest in this case TBH. McAlpine will happily help if you need it though I'm sure.
