McAlpine WC Connector with Vent Boss - OK for basin waste?

Does anyone have any experience with one of these:

Would it be suitable to use as a basin waste?

I am concerned that boss appears to pinch; but then it is just basin waste (washing hands/shaving). I cannot find any alternatives

Great find! I thought it looked too short, but the multilink website says you can link multiple connectors together.

Would the MacAlpine still do the job?

Sadly the Multikwik one is not suitable as I also need to attach a flexible wc connector to go to the pan spigot.
