MDF Radiator Cabinet - Painting Method, Spraying?

I have a new cabinet to finish in white, with the detailed front panel I would think it would be a task to avoid any paint drips etc. Could I spray MDF somewhow?

Tell you what I did as I didnt have a spray gun.
I painted it with mdf primer, I then sprayed the grill with gloss paint (appliance paint) until I was satisfied with the finish took about 3 times in different directions. I then painted remained with a brush.
I did 4 rad covers in total they were all big.
