HI,

amongst other things, ive got a new mains to be done, inspection in the next few days, jus wondered much mdpe needs to stick out of the duct under the pavement? ive got about 12 inches of the duct and 6 inches of the mdpe sticking out. I didn't get any straight answers off the water co. just to say leave some slack inside so they can pull it out if needed!

also best way to seal the duct? was going to use a drilled cap and some silicon, will it do?

cheers

They'll need enough to reach the main, wherever that is, or they'll moan and put a coupling in.
How do they expect you to be able to "Pull some through" it's usually buried in the ground...??
You don't realy neeeed a duct unless it's under a foundation, so no particular need to seal it.
Builders foam might be good though.
