Is there an easy way to measure the water pressure (bars?) coming into the house and in the pipes?

Is there any way of doing it without having to buy special tools?

i rigged ojne up with an old combi boiler pressure gauage soldered to a piece of 8mm pipe then rigged it up to a 15mm ball afix valve and it gave me a rough guide to what the pressure was. If you want a more accurate reading tho you would have to buy a pressure tester im afraid.

£12 from Screwfix.

I needed to know the pressure at the mains and phoned the water company. They sent someone round to measure it and stuck a note through the door with the answer on. Couldn't have been simpler and free of charge.
