Hi Everyone,
I live in a bungalow and my Megaflo is actually lower than my lowest hot tap. So it seems the only way to recharge the airgap is to drain it from the drain tap at the bottom of the megaflo. I think I have the procedure, but as you are draining it do you need to still open the hot tap which as I said even the lowest one is higher than the Megaflo. Here is what I think should be done:
Turn off boiler at the programmer.
Turn off cold supply
Open Lowest Hot Tap in the property (Bath Tap)
Attach hose to Megaflo drain tap, take hose to drain hole,
Open Temp & Pressure Relief Valve,
Open Drain Tap on Megaflo to start drain process,
Drain for 20 mins or till empty,
Close Temp & Pressure relief valve,
Then close drain tap on Megaflo and remove hose.
Open cold supply,
Turn off hot water tap in the bath.
Turn on heat to Megaflo (Boiler).
But as I say I am not 100% sure if this is correct or even the correct order to do things, plus does the tap in the bath even have to be open if you are doing this via the draining the Megaflo route?
Thanks in advance for any replies.
