We have a Megaflo, presumably installed in 2002 when the house was built. We've been having all sorts of problems over the last 6 months, which have already cost a fair amount of money and before I spend any more I'd like some thoughts on what the issue may be.

The problems all appear to be pressure related. We have high mains pressure, although it has dropped compared to what it was when we first moved in (2006). Back then it blew out two shower heads before I got once designed for higher pressure. But it all ran OK until last year when we started to notice problems with noisy refills and a bit of water on some pipes.

First we had a leaking valve, which got replaced. We still had problems with pressure so a PRV was fitted to regulate flow into the tank. A couple of months ago we suddenly had a small leak come through the ceiling - on checking there was a flow of (warm) water through the Tundish and another valve was leaking, plus the PRV on the tank. These were replaced. The tank has been emptied and pressure recharged several times during this time.

Then the pressure fell in red CH cylinder and pumping it up only worked temporarily, so that was replaced. All seemed OK for a few weeks; then we noticed gurgling again when the tank was refilling, and yesterday I noticed a stream of water in the tundish again when it was refilling after a bath. Clearly the problem is not solved and there now appears to be a (very) small leak from a valve on the tank. The other thing I notice is that when the tank is refilling the pressure gauge below the CH cylinder falls slightly, and 'clicks' back up when the refilling finishes.

Before I now shell out on a new cylinder (the plumber's suggestion) I just want to be sure that this will fix the situation. That there isn't something else that could have been causing all these issues.

Have they followed the correct procedure to re establish the air bubble in the megaflow? This is usually stuck on the side of the tank.

Can you post some pics of the plumbing round the cylinder area, try and get some wide shots so we can see the general layout rather than individual valves.

Yes. Did it again last night; still dripping into the tundish when the tank refills. The very small leak around the coil out pipe is still there as slightly damp this morning.

I'll get some shots up when I get back home.
