I seemed to have lost pressure in my hot water so that it is merely a trickle. I have a mega flow cylinder and the problem happened suddenly and I have no idea why.

Cheers in advance for any help

Tommy

Is your cold tap in the kitchen ok?

Kev; how would the air gap affect the flow at taps?

I reckon if you unscrew the filter on the end of the spout and clean it, it will be fine.

Either that or someones turned the cold water off.

Don't set ya funny emoticons on me !!!!

I was actually asking if it could solve the problem, and if so how.

PS I don't believe it solved it.

The pressure appears to be holding. It did take a good twenty five minutes to reinstate the air gap by holding the valve open. I know nothing about plumbing but on this mega flow cylinder as i understand it, the cold water comes off the mains into the bottom of the cylinder, and that is used to push the hot water round the system. So i don't know why that has fixed it!
