Have fitted these before and usually they are already made up.
One delivered today was an mcb and the pod was in a seperate box.

However to fit it you had to clip off the small cover, there was no new cover to fit where the test button goes.

Is this normal.

They do not look right without the little cover on

there should be a small clip on cover supplied, with the rating of the RCD part on it (they are mostly 30mA but some are 100mA - I like to write the mA rating in top of the pod while unpacking, as a precaution against future error.)
