im going to lay a base of 20mm ply and lay a damp proof membrane on top

do i just screw the sheeting to the ply through the membrane or somthing else? or any beter ideas,

if i screw through the membrane wont it leak?

If you are going to use box profile metal sheets then you can buy anti condensation sheets,

Fit 25x38mm tanalised tile battens above the membrane (running down the roof) and fix the roof sheets to these. Don't fix directly to the membrane, else this will wear as the sheets move naturally.

There won't be any significant water getting under the sheets and the membrane won't leak (shouldn't leak) by fixing through it.
