Methods for taking payment

I'd like to start taking payment by card or by phone, but I don't know much about either. Does anyone have any experience of either technology?

I got mine at xmas and so far no one has paid by card yet.

I believe those young people can use their phones to pay for some things these days. Got any knowledge of that too?

The above machine will work with an iphone. As you need a phone line to take payment.

yes, I can see that but I understand that you can now pay with your own phone (ie instead of a card) for some small amounts. My business is with students so small amounts taken plus a young customer base.

Looked at the idea,however a typical fee is 2.5% so on larger amounts it gets expensive!so you will have to decide wether to increase your prices by that amount or like some people charge the customer for using that service by telling them the choices of payment.

Another move towards the cashless society with every penny being watched and therefore taxed
