Anyone any ideas\help where I could get an older Meynell V6 Safemix chrome knob - pre serial number 18000?
Trying to service my leaking mixer. Noticed seal kit only £20-30
Knob seized on spline - grub screw seized and rounded-off - tried everything! Poxy 2.5mm allen key! Ground knob in half and split in the end - as website showed spares for £36.
After doing this, find out older knobs not available - only new ones which apparently won't fit! National Shower Spares tell me only solution is to buy "full" internal kit to upgrade to post-18000. That's £140 instead of £30 plus a knob - I now feel like one
Anyone know any older spares? Or knows for sure that the new post-18000 knob won't fit? Only thing I noticed on later assembly diagrams - they have large "C"-clip fitted just before the knob goes on. Mine doesn't have this.
