sorry but at the moment it is impossible to transfer my copy to a pc format though I'm working on it....any specific information you want from the manual though just let me know and I can relay it.

Ok heres a run down of whats going on

Was intermittent when I first went and now its a permanent fault

HW works fine
No CH
prog checked and pcb box is getting signal
pump runs and diverter valve moves across and appears to be operating both DV microswitches. audible click from rear microswitch indicates that it is working ok but will check again tomorrow by pushing it in a little harder when it goes across and tracing the wire. I Need to find out what goes on between there and the gas valve operating.
There is a ch temp sensor which I suspect, took it out of line and tried to measure resistance on it but readings were erratic and of course I suspect the pcb even though it has no scorch marks on it.

Theres another possible prob that I have to sort out after this and I'll tell you just incase I cant get the MI. The burner pressure is only 1.69 mb even on hot water yet the sticker says max pressure should be 6mb, although the guy is happy with the hot water hes getting at the moment.
Water section adjustment is siezed but that should be ok as it hasnt been touched for years
Working pressure is OK at 20.6 mb.

All ideas /info would be appreciated. I dont get many vaillants to play with as most of hoi polloi here cant afford em

Ensure the cam behind the reversing unit (atop water section) restores fully. If it does not, quantity of water to diverter is insufficient, so diverter does not travel the full distance. Check is to make ch demand, wait and then manually push the microswitch assembly on diverter. If boiler fires, remove reversing unit and clean muck. Blow out bundy pipes. If banjo fitted to the diverter, remove internal check valve pin ( Vaillant advice- pin delays CH demand when HW demand made)

For more contact me at [email protected]. Remove 999 or emails will not get to me. If you still have problems getting MIs can help. Also indicate CORGI # as info will only for other CORGI and not DIYers

Off to check that out now .... cheers :D :D

Remove 999

:? so theres no 9's in your email addy at all?
just that you showed only two 9's in the addy

I got the addy btw ... u can go back n delete it now if you want

Many thanks

Sussed it out !! many thanks to Kev and Danny.

For the record

Maiin fault was down to a dodgy M2 microswitch which worked when it felt like it.
Kicking myself a bit now cos I normally check these first but cos it was up against the wall it was hard to get to and I wanted to check it on the board then got side tracked by the ntc and safety switch when the boiler fired up after removing the lead.

Vaillant one was 18 quid plus roland rat !!
I just got one from domestic spares place for change out of 2 quid

Another point worth mentioning is that I emailed Vaillant and they sent me the MI [with a clearer wiring diagram] for free :D
