I used to have a box divided into three. Each section had a trap in it and a little hole big enough for a mouse. The box had a perspex lid so that I could see if any traps had been sprung. Once trapped the the mouse wasn't going anywhere because I've had mice in traps with the wire across the mouse's back and the mouse still alive, walking the trap with it's back legs. They can't do that with the box.
