It does not matter which rad but a downstairs one is better.

If you were lucky you may have a drain cock which looks like the picture above.

If you are even more lucky then it might actually open but most I encounter are firmely closed up!

If you can take a few of the rads off even after you've flushed it all out (while you're draining it all down, turn the filling loop on and let fresh water flush as much out as possibleuntil the water runs clear) and flush them though in the garden, so much the better.

Final thing to do, once it's all up and running with all rads nice and hot, hopefully!!, will be to get some inhibitor into the system. Similar squirty things are available for these.

If you're feeling particularly flush (no pun intended) you could ask your plumber mate to put a magnaclean onto the system.

belatedly realised my pipes arent plastic - metal 4 sure
