Microshield Ultra v's Storm Dry

Has anyone on here used either or both of the products above. I need to seal the back of my property and possibly the side also. There is obviously a big difference in price but is that matched with a difference in quality?

Any comments for and against both appreciated.

It's a bit early for me to comment but I have applied Stormdry to a 1930's chimney made of quite porous bricks. I only did this about a month ago, which is why I cannot comment too knowledgably on its effectiveness yet. We need a few torrential downpours! The chimney was constantly saturated and damp was evident in the chimney walls on the first floor below. I'm hoping Stormdry will solve this problem.

It was easy to apply and there was no change in colour of the brickwork. After several days I tested the treated brickwork with a spray of water and it forms nice beads on the surface and runs off well. So far, it does what the makers claim.

I have also purchased enough Stormdry to treat the whole of the front of our house, which is exposed to the prevailing wind and rain. We had damp penetrating into the house last winter, and we have since had the cavity wall insulation removed from the front wall in order to stop the cavity being bridged. Stormdry will go on next. The specialist builder who removed the cavity insulation recommended Stormdry - he has plenty of positive experience using it.

Sadly I cannot comment on Microshield Ultra, but I am interested to see if others can comment. If there's something that's as good and cheaper, then I'm interested.
