Miele G1830 - Does this sound normal?

I recently took a punt on this second hand dishwasher for less than £50 with a problem that it would frequently show F67 error code.

The machine previously has had a leak and one of the signal electrical connections on the motor was corroded. Since changing that I have not seen that error code pop up, but yesteday towards the end of hot pots & pan cycle it threw a F68 error code.

All of this indicates a problem with the motor and changing the motor is not an economical option, so is there anything else that could be a problem?

The one thing I have notices is the relay to start the circulation pump, clicks several (3) times before the pump continueously kicks in? Is this normal for this type of machines? What do people think motor, relay or signal path problem? It would be such a shame to scrap this machine.

Miele electronics are extremely robust.
F67 usually indicates a jammed circulation pump. F68 (however unlikely it might sound) indicates that the circulation pump is running when it shouldn't be.
The motor on this model should be fitted with an "electronic tacho" & the motor has a soft-start characteristic. The sensor card may be defective.

Does anyone have a electronic copy of Miele Dishwasher Service Manual for any model that is less then 5 years old. Just need some guidance on the sequence to follow to get the recirculating motor out.

You won't get a service manual, they are trade only.
Lie the machine on its back & remove the base-plate (all main components are easily accessible with the base-plate off). Remove the motor holder fixing screw from the rear panel. Release the hose clips for the feed pipes to the top and middle spray arms & remove the hoses. Release the hose clip connection to the sump. Disconnect electrical connections.
Remove the circulation pump....

My struggle with this diswasher goes on..... I had the motor out and that all looks fine, but there is a pressure sensor that sits on top of the pump. It has two inlets for the water from the pump and two sets of electrical connectors blue & brown channel. I am not sure exactly what this sensor does and how it should function. As mentioned it has two inlets for the water, but it goes into a common chamber i.e. if you blow through one it comes out the other. The pressure switch seems to work ok as when I cover one input and blow hard on the other it clicks. Also it looks as if someone previously has adjusted these as there are pen marks on the two adjustment screws. Anyway the issue in addition to the ocassional F68 I am now trying to resolve is that before the the recirculating pump starts it start and stop a couple of times for half a send before eventually kicking in fully. You can hear the the pump starting and the clicking of this above sensor I suppose. I spoke to a Miele Tech and he had a listen to it on the phone and said that this was not normal and said some signal was stopping the pump, but did not offer any further help other then to arrange a call out.....mega bucks . So whats makes the pump cycle a couple of times before starting and could it be related to that pressure sensor on top of the pump or some other sensor burried on the control PCB? Mrs is totally ****ed off with me tinkering with the DW so its a couple more tries to get this sorted or its gets stripped for parts to recoupe my £50 inital outlay

If someone has screwed around with the pressostat adjustment throw it in the bin.
This is a safety device for the heating circuit & should never be tampered with under any circumstances
Get the motor capacitor checked out...if that is ok you need to change the speed sensor (and the pressostat)....Or flog it for bits if you don't want to use Miele.

Hello tried a different same value capacitor and it was still the same, so I suspect it is the speed sensor. This is buried inside the plastic pump housing but managed to get it out. Seems a very simple circuit board with a hall effect sensor I think and couple of resistors. It seems to have a part number on the back, I just hope Miele sell this as a separate part and not want to sell you the whole motor for mega bucks. Might try to get someone guys at work who know all things electrical to test the components on the circuit board if its an obvious fault. I have set the pressure sensor back to their original marked position and as they seem to be clicking normally and the heater is working ok, I think its ok. Will update once I have somemore news on the speed sensor. Thanks for all your help so far.

I'm having exactly the same problem. My machine makes sound trying to switch on the pump three times when runs and in the end displays Technical Fault 68.
Have you found a reason? I'll highly appreciate your experience.
