MiGenie thermostat

Hi
My miGenie thermostat broke, just buy replacing batteries!.
I thought I'd bought one off ebay but mistakingly it was a miStat thermostat. Do you know if this will work on miGenie system? Looks exactly the same except for branding. Buttons look the same.
Dont want to open seal so I can return it.

how is it broke? I don’t think they’re interchangeable, but could be wrong.

Hi. Just changing the batteries, the screen wouldn't come on just a very very faint image of all the symbols. Tried putting the old batteries back in and no change.
Absolute mystery!
I'm hoping, as it's just give a signal to the programme only, like the migenie, it might work.

Did you use quality batteries or cheap zinc?

Alkaline batteries, GPUltra

It would indicate a broken stat then.

Thanks. I emailed Drayton over the weekend they replied today. The miTime Stat wont work with miGenie.
So will have to hunt one down, probably on eBay.

Hi there, I found this thread as I have exactly the same issue. I went as far as purchasing a new kit off the internet, opened the box and same issue. Either the units are flaky or it needs some kind of reset.

Did you manage to fix your issue?
