A friend I know wants a metal light fitted , the bottom metal bit of the light, they want to buy, when fitted will hang slightly less than 1800mm from the floor, and lower than the doorframe.

It is in a bedroom , has nothing below it and as you walk round the bed you will possibly hit your head.

I advised it appeared a bit low, and they were not too pleased.

Are there any H+S, or building regs concerning this :?:

thanks

As far as I'm aware, the 1976 edition of the common sense regulations apply in these circumstance.

As the light's in their bedroom - they know it's there....and it's their heads they're going to hit...
