Hi,

I'm a recently qualified gas engineer and was called out to the above boiler that had a very minor weep on the divertor valve where the diaphragm spindle comes through the gland nut where the micro switch is attached. Is it simply just a case of renewing this part (Baxi Diverter Valve Stuffing Box/Gland) or is it a case of renewing the diaphragm as well under the assumption the spindle may be worn? The functionality of the boiler is all O.K.

Many Thanks

Just replace gland seal / stuffing box. Usual fault on the carp baxi produce.

Take 10 mins at most.

for what it costs, I'd change microswitch, diaphragm and stuffing box. think there's a kit. No point getting called back for something that "was alright before you touched it mate" ;)
