I have a mira 723 which is a few years old now. I replaced the internal parts a while back but the original unit was installed way back in 1985. Mira parts seem quite expensive. Is there an alternative I can slot into its place? I'm trying to avoid having to retile the bathroom. Thanks[/code]

The feed pipe centres for this shower are the standard 150mm (approx) apart and most centre exposed thermostatic showers with side pipe feeds would be the same dimensions, so it's just looking for one similar a centre exposed thermostat approx the same size. Lots of manufacturers will do these types.
It will be difficult to get an exact replacement going by size but you should be able to get something pretty close.
